Someday!

Somewhere…
He was on the verge of being a man
Reading almost the same books
Listening to the same ‘ Sainik Bhayo ka karyakram’
Knowing someone was there
Raving about the same Gulzar sonnets
Some poetry deciphered, some shrouded in mystery still!

Something…was amis
In his life amidst
Books, football, music and art…
Of friends, cousins, neighbouring Bhaiyas
Yet not a place to open his heart!

Someday…
They would
Scale the time zones and close in the space
Between them..vast and wide
Someday…
They would know
The wait is over
He’d stare and she’d look
And they’d find their answer!
