An Afternoon Reverie

Today; I accepted the heat,

I accepted the light.

I acknowledged the fact that

I was alive.

Watching the sun, the trees and the sky,

I began to contemplate my feelings.

Without giving it a second thought,

My dearly eyes started weeping.

The birds were chirping around

With their soulful voices.

Something struck me so hard

That i began questioning my choices.

A light feather sat on my cheek,

Telling me that it was okay.

Not being so hard on yourself,

And actually living for a day.

Today; I accepted the heat,

I accepted the light.

Without this afternoon,

My day wouldn’t have been bright.
