Accident Unites Them
PART 2
October's future
October's calendar predicted a fatal accident for him. Sagnik did not take the prediction seriously and continued with his regular duties.
One morning, while he was riding his motorbike to the office, it was raining. Since it was office and college commuting time, everyone was in a hurry to reach their destinations. He had only five seconds to cross the green traffic signal. So, he was in a hurry, but when he was a hundred meters away from the signal, it turned red.
As he was about to slow down the vehicle, it skidded, and he and his bike fell onto the road. Sagnik could not stand up. His helmet fell off. A 25-year-old girl driving the car behind him got out, recognised him by his bald head as her college senior, moved the motorbike to the side with the help of passersby, took out the bike key and put it in her purse. She searched for his mobile, as it fell on the road, and someone among the passersby snatched it.
As Sagnik was unconscious, passersby helped him into the back seat of her car, and she took him to a nearby multispecialty hospital. At the emergency ward, the doctors examined, scanned and found that he had suffered head and abdominal injuries. The head injury was not serious, but the abdominal injury required urgent surgery. They asked the car girl, Swara Ragini, to contact his relatives to sign the surgery declaration form. He was her senior and topper in college. He was an active participant in singing and dance activities. Hence, she was able to identify him.
When the doctors insisted on the declaration that the surgery had to be done immediately, his mobile was not found, and his relatives were unknown, she was in a dilemma. The hospital staff were insisting on a declaration. She had no option but to sign by herself.
The surgery lasted for almost three hours and was successful. The doctors informed Swara Ragini about the patient's safety. She thanked Lord Venkateswara for saving Sagnik.
"When he fell, the bike handle hit his abdomen, causing a stomach injury," the doctors said. He was shifted to the ICU for further observation. He could not open his eyes or speak. He was under the influence of anaesthesia. Swara Ragini was with him. Swara Ragini did not know who to inform about Sagnik.
Her parents became worried when she did not return home from the office until evening. They called her on her mobile. "I am attending to pending office work and will be back in two hours," she said. She did not mention anything about Sagnik.
She requested that hospital staff provide a male caretaker. They approached a company. They sent an experienced person to look after Sagnik 24/7 in the hospital. She took the details of his caretaker.
After arranging the caretaker, she went to the place where Sagnik's motorbike was parked, took down the bike's number, contacted the transport department staff, and found out Sagnik's residential address. She went to the address and informed Sagnik's parents that he had been admitted to the hospital when he fell off the bike. He had undergone an operation and was now safe. She also told them that she had appointed a male caretaker to look after him in the hospital. Sagnik's mother started weeping. Swara Ragini consoled her, saying that Sagnik was fine, and took them to the hospital in her car. At that time, Sagnik, who was lying on the bed in a hospital gown, was talking in a slow voice.
The caretaker told him that, "Swara Ragini had admitted him to the hospital and borne his surgery and other expenses."
The parents thanked her for caring for their son.
The next day, Sagnik was shifted to a separate room.

Sagnik's parents continued the caretaker. His father was in the hospital room during the day. His mother could spend a short time in the mornings. The doctor visited at eleven in the morning, checked his health and prescribed the medicines to be given to the nurses from that day.
Sagnik's father thanked the doctor for the prompt response to the surgery,
The doctor said, "You should thank his wife, Swara Ragini, for bringing him to the hospital urgently and arranging for the operation; otherwise, it would have been difficult to save him from such a fatal injury. She helped a lot by signing a declaration for the surgery".
At these words, Sagnik and his mother were surprised but did not express it.
After the evening office, she visited Sagnik. Sagnik's mother looked at her indifferently.
She asked Sagnik, "How are you?".
He was happy to see her and thanked her with folded hands. She took his hands into hers and said, "I felt it was my duty to help a college senior like you. I am happy that you are recovering."
His mother sarcastically said, "When you are by his side, he would be fine."

Swara Ragini understood her feelings and said, "I was driving my car behind his bike, and when he fell, I saw him. I recognised him as a senior in my college, so I decided to help. Since the hospital was insisting on a declaration from his close relatives before the surgery, and since his mobile was lost at the site of the accident, and I did not know any of you, I had to sign the declaration. Uncle and Aunty, I was very worried in those circumstances, and the operation was urgent, so I did not have time to think about the consequences. I did it because the aim was to help him with his surgery. Besides, I had no other intention. I am happy to have found you. I am relieved of Sagnik's problem. From now on, it is your responsibility to take care of him."
With these words, she bowed to them and left the hospital.
With these words, Sagnik's parents' thoughts changed, and they began to think about Swara Ragini's helpfulness.

Sagnik was discharged after five days. The parents took him home. Since they were aged, they continued with the same caretaker.
Swara Ragini neither contacted them nor visited the hospital during this period.
Sagnik's mother understood that her words had hurt her. They considered Swara Ragini's intelligence and helping nature and decided she was the right match for Sagnik.
One day, when Swara Ragini was in the office, Sagnik's parents went to meet her parents. Swara Ragini was their only daughter. Sagnik's parents told them what happened after Sagnik fell and was admitted to the hospital, up to signing the declaration, and how she took care of him.
Sagnik's parents proposed that if their son got married to Swara Ragini, they would live a happy life. Swara Ragini's parents called her on her mobile and told her, "Sagnik's parents were with them and proposing their son's marriage to you."
She told them, "You are the best to decide. She would abide by their decision."
With these words, her parents took it as a positive response to the marriage proposal and agreed to it. Sagnik and Swara Ragini were happy.

January month prediction
According to the January calendar, he is predicted to marry the girl he loves most next month. They got married in February, and their parents celebrated the wedding with great pomp.
After the wedding, Sagnik took a 2BHK apartment in the city. They moved into it on an auspicious day and time. Swara Ragini got transferred to this city. She did not expect that his accident would end so happily, leading to their marriage. God decided to unite them with this accident.
Sagnik wanted to thank her for all the care she had taken while in the hospital and hugged her. Swara Ragini reciprocated.
When they were together, he wanted to show Swara Ragini the calendar that would tell the future.
Swara Ragini said, "When I am with you, why bother with the calendar. I can take care of all your needs from now on. From today onwards, I am your present and future calendar" and she snatched the calendar from him.
