The Organic Coffee from the Tribal land of Araku.
Araku Valley is famous for its Coffee plantation. Araku Coffee is special because it is grown organically in the deep forest of Eastern Ghats by the Tribes living there.
Araku coffee has been acknowledged across the world for its unique Arabica flavour. The rich aroma of the organic Araku Coffee bowled over Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who not only relished it but finished his cuppa to the last drop when he had visited the Maritime Exhibition in 2016 as reported by The Hindu (https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/modi-bowled-over-by-araku-coffee/article8203598.ece)
Coffee was first introduced in 1898 in a valley neighbouring Araku by a British man. But the real change began when ITDA(Integrated Tribal Development Authority) run by the State Government trained the farmers and gave them the coffee plants. Because of its premium taste, most of the Coffee is exported worldwide.
The roasted coffee beans are sold on the roadside through out the valley. There is a Coffee Museum also which is a must-visit for all Coffee Lovers.
